[MUS] Dueling Clefts- A Classical Piano Composition
Hey guys! I'm back with a new composition. A dozen WIPs later, and I finally have something to show for my efforts. I'm really proud of this duel of the clefts, and I think that there was a lot more emotion in this one. Again, it's a minor sound, but it sounds really unique (and better than my last imo). Thanks for all of the comments on the last one, it's really hard to make classical music, and I'm happy that you guys can appreciate it! With that out of the way, here's my new piece

Program used: Noteflight.com

It's only 54 seconds long, so 54 seconds of CnC would be appreciated XD.

In case I'm asked, the tempo increases incrementally until the end.

Sorry for the mediafire link, TB forums doesn't support .wav files. You don't even have to download it, you can listen to it right on the page.

If I feel like it, I might record myself playing and post a vid.

absolutely loved it
better than your last one for sure
there could've been some more slower parts for the lower clefs but other than that i'm impressed
really kept me interested though it was still short - wish it was longer
great job and also, how long did it take you to write this?
do you write your music down or just memorize as some few of my friends do?
don't talk to me or my dudes ever again

Well, I spent several hours writing WIPs that I never finished, this was soon after I wrote my first song. They were all crummy, so I scrapped them. The song itself took a few hours each day for about 5 days or so, and the final product probably took about 10 hours or so, with a few extra hours spent on the prior wips. It takes a long time because I have to think of the tune and write the harmonic keys for one hand, do the same for the next hand, and then make sure it works all together individually and as a song. There's a lot of editing involved lol.

There's actually an extra part to this composition that I didn't include because it didn't match the rest of the song, and I couldn't find a place to put it. I'm a little disappointed because the part I took out was actually the first part that I wrote for the song, and it was the section that gave me inspiration for the rest of the piece. I actually wrote this composition in a really funny order, starting with the middle, which I removed, and then going to the beginning, and working from there.

Just like when I wrote my first song, I wrote this one while I was at my cottage. The thing is- I don't have a piano up here. So, rather than making the song on piano and memorizing it as some people do, I have to make it on the computer. This is really beneficial though, because now I have the sheet music that I can print out or share at any time. If you take a look at noteflight, you'll see how easy it is to actually create the sheets for the music you make.

Thanks for the comment
