I downloaded the iso of MS Windows XP SP2 and it was burning it on 52x (MAX)
on an empty cd
AND ON 62% BUFFER ERROR!

First off dont burn at max speed. The safest rate would be 32X or less. I burn at 24X for safety reasons. Also if your burner supports it buffer underrun protection should be on

As for programs, try Active Iso Burner (google it ok?)
