when i delete default file, nothing happens, when i type /re width height. the game says "resolution too small" the games window is off the screen so i cannot access settings or move the window, HELP.

Try 1080 by 1080 then scale to size from there

Make sure that you are inputting the /re command as:

/re <width> <height>
(example: /re 800 600)

And not as:
/re <width>x<height>
(example: /re 800x600)

If all else fails, editing the actual default.cfg file using notepad should work.
