Quitting Toribash is Almost Impossible?
So i've been wondering lately about why is it so hard to quit toribash.
And also as you can probably see if you've been here long enough, people who "quit" almost always come back!

Even i have tried to quit, but idk why there's always a thing keeping me here!

Let's discuss about this!
its probably this games diffrence, this isnt a c/p of any other game, take minecraft for example, its an original game that got popular for its originality and coolness. also, i've tried finding something like this game, but the only thing that i have found in my whole life is this game, it isn't something good, but this was the first toribash rip-off i've been playing, and its the only one, i actually started playing this one before the actual game at 2012, because my dad doesnt like this game, so he didnt let me download it, so i was playing this because it doesnt need to be downloaded, but you cant move much stuff with it.

Also, there are people who quit the game, as said by concon, its really hard to master this game, aswell as to get TC. Newbies probably think that they are gonna be the best, and get the coolest items this game has to offer, but the first time they play a decent player, who streaks them they start to lose intereset in this game, because of the hardness.

Yea, I was almost forced to quit via some issues in my life, but toribash has always had that drag back to it. I feel like there's always that presence of, "What's happening" or "what if there's something new", or something similar that, in the end, brings us back. It's very addicting and seems to never end.

oh yeah, wizard made me remember, that people quit waiting for 5.0. But everymonth they check if 5.0 is out

Toribash is a game that is hard to get into because at the start it is a bit overwhelming being able to move 19 joints.
This is why often beginners quit toribash. But once you get through that stage of learned the joint movement that feeling is really rewarding.
And then it's ofcourse the people you meet while playing toribash and the community you slowly move into.
You can quit but it you are close to the community it will be harder to quit.

This^

Majority of the people who quit, just get bored and stop playing. No fuzz, no announcement. We only hear about the people who came back (since how do you hear from someone who isnt affiliated with this game anymore) so our idea that everyone comes back is twisted.

The "famous" people tend to take breaks and come back for sure, but there is a lot more bonding with the community than for an "average" player. You dont remember that random 2nd dan black belt quitting because he started playing LoL, or that brown belt who played for 2 months and got bored. I feel like you are projecting your own experiences and thoughts to instances where it nescessarily isnt correct.

On the other hand, if there is data proving me wrong, and unusually large percentage of people come back to TB. Id be surprised.

Plenty of people did quit it. But I do think it's probably harder to quit than many other games because there's nothing else like it on the market. It's presently the only game (as far as I know) that can scratch that itch for a fighting game where you have full control over your movements. So if that's a type of game you really like, you'll be tempted to come back to tb as long as there aren't alternatives.
it's not hard to quit. at all.
i'm willing to bet half the people on the forum don't even play.
I've found that Toribash does get rather repetitive after a while. But that's not the only thing Toribash has for it. It has a very well made forum and somewhat decent content on said forum, and a economy that's relatively risky but fun to use.
It's also a unique game, but like I said, repetitive in nature.
