An Upper Back Muscle
I think that an upper back muscle added to the Tori model would be cool and more maneuverable, because as of now, your torso is forced to stay straight up at all times, and that is fairly unrealistic. I don't know what specific muscle it would be called, but I think it would add more opportunity for power in arm movement, and as of right now kicks are very popular, so it might add some diversity to Judo/Aikido.

I also would like 4-directional hand movement, but that has less of an effect as something like the upper back.

Thank you!
When you think about it, you can't really bend your torso backwards that much (irl). So I guess
Hampa didn't include that as a joint.
I'd suggest you to use your abs instead.

I don't feel like this need to be added to Toribash for anything.

if you want to move your torso backwards and forth, use the abs, if you want it to go side to side use the lumbar.
[19:59] <Lazors> man it's a good thing people don't see what i write here
Adding anything into the game play mechanics could be a gamebraker for a lot of people. Since there have been no such changes like that for 8+ straight years.
