Winning a game in toribash is mainly doing stuff until either you or your opponent makes a mistake. A good player makes mistakes less often, and can utilize his opponents mistakes more to secure a win.
I play a lot of tk, so Im gonna talk about that.
Now, tk is mostly staying one turn ahead. Most attacks take 2 turns to make, but they are deadly as well. One mistake will most likely cost you the game. Be ready to react to ALL of your opponents attacks, whilebeing able to attack without getting countered yourself.
I see that you are also a brown belt. Controlling your whole tori on an efficient (efficiency is golden in mp) level takes practice. Find good players and get beaten until you can beat them. Ask for advice, counter snapkicks in freeplay, you name it. When you have the basics down you should start dueling. Its a great way to find competetive supergeeks that will gladly try their best to put you down, until you can put them down.
most of all, have fuckin fun or youll be standing in the same hole for another year.
Peace
Edit: forgot to mention. Duels can be free, look at my avy/sig. And go with defensive openers, relying on moves wont helpyou get much better.
