Out with the old in with the new.
Recently I've noticed that a lot of older players are leaving and making way for newer players. A lot of clans are dying, and new ones sprouting up. Clan council is recruiting, and there are trial GMs. What do you think the direction of toribash is going in now? Is it a phoenix being reborn, or just being slowly choked? What's your opinion?
i know that by just a time ago, toribash was "dying" in inactivity. but when new thing appears, activity and fun backs.
old players leave for works/school or just because wanted to leave, some of they can be inspiration to new members, that happens the same thing.
probably toribash will keep fun as it aways was.
as a time line it can be:
some players leave, and then new members start playing, then some leave.
maybe this can be aways a loop
toribash keep fun to alot of players.

I agree it is a really fun game, and I agree with most of your points, but could there be a point where the fluctuation of players is too low to revive itself, or will tb skyrocket?
This always happens, there have always been people that quit playing the game and people that started playing the game. The fact that clan council and gms are recruiting isn't very new either, it just means people quit their staff positions, which isn't something extraordinary as well.

As there isn't something very different happening than the past years has been happening, I don't expect anything to change, you might not be speaking to your old clan buds anymore because they quit the game, but that is something completely different.

I think the interest shown by experianced / skilled players is at an all time low. Very few competing in forum events, basically none have even tried for new ranking system.

Toribash does seem to be doing alright and keeps chugging along slowly but surely. Toribash will never improve much in terms of development so it will never grow much, as toribash has a monoply and is the only game of its type i don't think it will ever die untill a competing game is made.

Once a 2015 toribash game is made i think everyone will jump ship and Toribash will die for ever.

I agree with the experienced players being at a low, but I've also noticed less and less people are helping noobs, and the general attitude around the middle to higher level players seems to be negative as of late, is that a turnoff for new players? And is the skill gap just too big for a lot of people?
Toribash is slowly growing, some days are better than others, some days 1000 people join the forums another like 300 do, It's constantly changing.

This is an odd observation, But I think toribash will NEVER have another "boom" in population.

Too many new games being created, too many people flock to those "new games" like cs:go and minecraft and all that weird stuff.

4 MIL ppl play toribash. Cs:go comes out and 6000 people leave.

I think toribash can never catch up to the speed of "newer" games and it'll just grow and die grow and die for a while.

I personally think toribash put a gun in its mouth, pulled the trigger and missed all the vitals when they made the monthly resets.

people also grow up and move on from this game. most dont have the time to play anymore.

Ranking wasn't competitive at all before the monthly rank resets, now it's still not.
How does that at all kill toribash?
People have been saying toribash is dying since 2009
