The End of the Earth?!?
The end of earth.
I've seen posts or even topics I don't remember...
It says That one day the earth will be destroyed by the human, And I don't mean Destroyed like ''By bombs, nukes or World war'', I mean with destroyed that Consumed resources, so the human can't stay in it any more, In my Religion It says that the earth will never be destroyed or will be ended till it's the end of the world, I'm muslim. So I would like to ask you few Questions.

1) Will the Earth will be ended?
2) If it's we surly will try to go another planet what is the most suitable for you?
3) If it will be ended or not, Discuss say your opinions with PROOFS. Please, thanks
This is kinda easy, the Earth will end in one of 2 ways: when the Sun finally blows up (in like thousens of years and even more) or because of some sorth of war that end with a nuclear bomb

Could we escape to other planet? in the first case yes, in the second I dont think so.Which planet is the most suitable? well in the first case the further ones would be
Depends on the religion and what you believe in.

If you are a christian like me, I believe God and his son will save us all if there's something that could destroy the earth or destroy the mankind itself.
We will (most likely) not be able to see the end of earth, as we won't live that long.

The water reserves will be able to serve us for another 200 years or so.
Freshwater is a renewable resource, however groundwater's supplies are decreasing every day.
Most of the water is frozen in ice bergs and stuff.

I don't think we should worry THAT much about other resources, although they are equally important.

To answer your questions:

1) I don't think so, not any time soon atleast.
2) If it does happen, people would probably move to Mars.
3) Stuff above.

For the record, the Sun will not blow up. It will turn into a white dwarf. It is not big enough to have a supernova.
There are literally hundreds of ways the world could end, some of which are very unlikely, although a few, sadly, are inevitable.

Now first of all, I'd like to say that I'm not religious, so I'm going to leave out the likes of the Rapture and various other religious theories.

First of all, our sun will eventually turn into a red giant, when it has consumed most of it's fuel, and will expand and most likely engulf the Earth. Could we escape to another planet? Perhaps, perhaps not, in my opinion, very unlikely.

We could also delve into anarchy, as suggested, and the human race could essentially destroy the planet. Likely? Yes. Escapable? Also, perhaps, perhaps not.

There are lots of other environmental or manmade factors which could alter the planet's lifespan. We could be struck by a very large asteroid, there could be a huge pandemic which kills us off, which isn't necessarily the end of earth, but could be the end of the human race/terrestrial life altogether.

There are probably countless more ways in which the planet could end, but I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

AHHHHHH IT BURNS
The sun won't grow so big that it'll engulf the Earth, but it'll grow big enough to engulf both Mercury and Venus. When the sun is that large, it will cover the vast majority of our horizon. Everything will be long dead and the oceans will have dried up by this point. This is billions of years away.

For a list of other (sooner) ways that the world could end, buy/download Nick Bostrom's book Global Catastrophic Risks. He's a smart guy and wrote about in this book about things like nuclear war, nanotechnology, asteroids and superintelligent AI (which he devoted his most recent book to entirely).

For a list of ways that society could possibly collapse, read Jared Diamond's book Collapse: How Societies Choose To Fail or Succeed. It covers the history of failed societies and examines why. Mostly, it's because of their failure to adapt to environmental changes. The book is a lot more interesting than you might initially think, and Jared Diamond is very respected and knows what he's talking about.

The answer to this is simpler than it seems, there are people that decide if nukes will get shot or not. People are unpredictable, these are a few solid facts right? Well those alone are enough to prove that the world how we know it could end any second, but how likely this is will be left to be discussed over.
Nothing is as beautiful as mediocricy
Well, the end of this planet is going to happen. Not if but when.

Everything's got an expiration date, even if it's millions of years away...

1) The Earth will end, no doubt. When is unknown, there are so many possible outcomes that its hard to say what exactly. The sun will run out of most of it's fuel and expand into a red dwarf in about 5 billion years.

Humans can clear our resources, it is possible

Or, an asteroid could collide with Earth and we would have three days notice.

Other likely outcomes to humans having general issues: Solar Flare setting us to the stone age, war causing us a fallout, aliens (cus why not?)

3) You don't provide opinions with proof, facts are back up by proof. But just to make you happy:

(The article may get a bit off topic, or silly, but most of it is legit.)

No. The Sun will lose fuel until it is critically low, then it will expand into a red giant, Earth will either spiral into this red giant, or spiral out (and either way is bad), after this it will pulse plasma, eventually releasing all it's gas and THEN turn into a white dwarf.

Edit: mass not size, they dont exactly relate. Our sun doesnt have enough MASS.

^ Example of a shit post.

Anyway, the Earth will end, but we probably won't be around, as we're wiping ourselves out, Earth has been through a lot more catastrophic events then what we are doing now,
Buuut, as the topic of this thread is about Earth, let's stick to that.
Since everyone is taking the common ways Earth could end, let me state some alternatives.
A Particle Accelerator mishap? It's probable, Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) on Long Island, New York, might create a subatomic black hole that would slowly nibble away our planet. Alternately, it might create exotic bits of altered matter, called strangelets, that would obliterate whatever ordinary matter they met.
But right now, their machines are not strong enough to create black holes. Oh well, we can always make bigger accelerators.

Or maybe, the chance is very low, that humans inhabit other planets, considering nothing goes wrong in the 5 billion years time we have until the Sun comes to its death, we just might survive.
