i need advice...
So today my family came together and we were told that my granmother doesnt have enough money to pay the rent...no big deal right? i mean we could all chip in and help?

well i was told that i have to work 2 jobs in order to help out and i did some simple math to see my working hours and profits...

turns out im working 18 hours a day to earn around R240 a day (around 17.27$)

i keep about 20% of all the money made and the rest goes to my gran...

R240 x 31 days
=R7440 or 514$

i keep R1488 or 102$ for myself leaving the rest for my gran

what i need advise with is: should i put my body under that amount of strain to help my gran or do i move to my father, get a normal job and help as much as i can from there?
That's way too much.
How long are you expected to keep that up?

If you're all chipping in equally, I don't think any of you need to work that many hours. I'd suggest moving to your dad and getting a regular job as you said.
your granny should move if she can't pay rent.
simple.

but I don't know your situation so maybe not but I wouldn't work for my grandmother.
The thing that sound wrong is that your family is putting her debt on you. However, that may be due to how you explained the situation. Is anyone else helping or just you? If it just you, then don't do it. You are young and have a future to grow. Your father's future is much more certain than yours, let HIM sell it off. More to the logical point if it is just rent then suggest that she move in with your father or mother. If it is because she lives in a medical facility, maybe you can get her some kind of subsidy to make her rent more affordable. My question is, why can she just now not pay rent? Did the rates spike or did she live beyond her means?
Simply you won't hold it much, You will get tired too fast, If you already decided to work 2 jobs to get enough money at least 50% for yourself. And if you're not the only one who will help Your grandmother, That will be enough.
18 hours a day is too much for anyone, and you won't hold very long, like people already mentioned. If u have opportunity to move, and get a regular job, do it.
"People, like to invent monsters and monstrosities. Then they seem less monstrous themselves."
That's too much for any person. It shouldn't be your job to do so. Your parents need to stop being assholes about this situation and do the parent'y thing here and help.

"Dear reader, I hope this email finds you before I do."
just got back from work and its 04:13 am.. and welp here are some answers to your questions:

everyone does chip in and from how i hear it, its sounds like the more i slave and put in the less they have to

secondly: Rent here costs 5600 a month with out water and electricity and my gran used all her pention fund on hospital fees...(my grandfather) so now money has become a serious issue
