We already have Toricredits and Shiai Tokens. We really don't need another type of coin. Hell, we can just use USD to buy things anyways. More in game currency sounds useless to me.

There is simply no need for another currency. You're saying that 500 'gems' would be enough for a very rare item, but so would the (did the math) 1,000,000 TC they would be worth.

Toribash isn't a pay-to-win mobile game, it wouldn't gain anything but slightly less audience from another odd currency being added. Not to mention that it would likely be difficult for the staff to maintain the value and circulation of the gems.

Those are event items, last I saw they were around the 100k+ area.

Extra currency is unneeded, and tc can buy "rare" items.

If items are not able to be cheaply and easily acquired, they're probably not for you to suggest a way to make it easy to get.

All items which currently are for sale in the shop, with tc, shiai or usd are all the items that can be sold.
All the other items which are in circulation but not buyable in the official torishop can not, wil not and should not be able to be bought in the torishop for a reason. They are supposed to be just unique, as a prize for doing something cool, or extremely dumb (like those dick shaped powerup items.)
If these became able to be sold with so called gems they would just lose their special value, whether you want it or not.

Also, if these gems are only able to be bought with usd, it would just be useless as shit as you just can buy items with normal usd too. And your suggestion of being able to get them with events doesnt seem so handy too. As there already exist shiai tokens as special event valuta, so some people might want gems, and others might want shiai tokens for winning the event, it could cause some people being annoyed.
