In the popular game fallout this is one of the main things that the game goes over so if robots did have feelings personality and felt love but were completely synthetic do you think they should be free to live their own lives or should they always be under us and take orders from us.

Are the robots you're talking about on the same level of intelligence as humans? Because I've always wondered what it would be like if two intelligent and sentient races lived on this planet. Currently, no animal comes even close to us in terms of intelligence, which is why we rule the world without competition. But what if we started to live alongside intelligent robots, would egoes eventually do their thing and invoke some sort of power struggle?

Yes they are on the same (if not much smarter level than humans and thats why i asked the question while something like dogs are treated well in this society some even get health care they are still living things and since robots are not there will be some definite problems in some peoples minds but I'm not sure if that puts them under us

It comes down to wether you should feel guilty for treating them like slaves, which I feel like anyone who knows they are sentient and has a properly functioning mind would do.

Not if we weren't dumb as fuck. On top of that, I see no reason to prevent evolution. If they were a better species then they would take over eventually, why prolong the inevitable? I guess maybe pride or fear of a future where we lack control over our environment might stop us, but we should be motivated by logic rather than fear. There would be no reason to get rid of us if we are happy to remain as a reminder of their history and as a novelty, we would have created them after all.

if you design them to have feelings its your fault, you deserve to treat them nicely and not like slaves then, and since you fucked up your stuck as an equal to a fucking robot. good job. Solution: don't design them to have feelings, make them a bunch of algorithms that are stagnant

I think Robots who aren't messed up in terms of eradicating life because it's imperfections would gladly live alongside it's creators. The thing though, Humans barely get along with each other, but I think Robots and Humans could go hand in hand.

Also they wouldn't be on a smarter level in terms of survival, We have an Unpredictable factor which is inherent to any specie trying to survive.

What if there were black robots who adapted to the "ghetto" or "hood" culture, and they continuously searched for human jokes in order to clown each other's hardware (maybe even software)? Just envision a world plagued by Hoodbots who would simultaneously flame or "fry" each other, and even "scrap" in the middle of the street. The concept of robots that are capable of understanding and immersing themselves in robot/human culture is beyond horrifying, point blank, right between the thighs. That's the way I see it.
