I want to play my songs out of an older version of itunes but when i try opening a song with the older version it says "file cant be opend because it has been created by a newer version of itunes." I want to use the older version because when i used to play toribash and listen to music the frame rate would only drop to 45 or something which was tolerable but with the new version of itunes when i play music and play toribash the frame rate drops to like 20 or something which is not playable. So is there a way to play songs out of my older version of itunes? Also i have a mac.

As people obviously cant read worth anything let me make this very clear.
I have a mac. Because I have a mac suggesting things that are only for windows does not help me whatsoever.

play your songs with winamp. There are no problems then :P

iTunes sucks tbh. There is no point using it unless you use the music store. You want to put songs on your iPod?? Winamp does that...

No that is the problem. I updated my itunes but i liked the older version better. I want to go back to using the older version but i cant figure out how to.

Use Ephpod to put your tunes on to your ipod and use win amp to play.

Sorry to post again but I need to bump this because I really want to figure this out because i cant listen to music while playing toribash otherwise. Does anybody know of a way(for mac) that I could play my songs without immence toribash lag? Or does anybody know of any forums where I could find out?

Prehaps a small simple player would do the trick more, itunes is quite rescourse hungry?
