this is an awesome edit for your first vid, you did some pro color changes and decent transitions, and keyframing wasn't horrible. I suggest using velocity and color correction though, it would make the vids look a bit better x)

Idk what you mean by "velocity", and I did do color correction, thats why it's a pure white background ;p

(plz explain velocity)

Velocity is when you make part of a clip faster in correspondance with like, a beat from the song.

Example:



When he speeds the clip up, it's faster "Velocity"

As for the video, I suggest experimenting with different shaders and, if you can, run the game at maximum. But if you can't, not having lag in an edit is important, so it's optional. I also suggest practicing with keyframes a bit, the jitter when you keyframe something shows that you put it in a place too far away from the original position.

You show alot of potential though, keep it up.

Seems like you just used the same effects on both the videos. Try experiment with different effect. In other words get a crack for sony vegas or Adobe After Effects because I never heard of what you're editing with and it seems quite limiting. If you were to get sony vegas or AE I would recommend downloading Saphire effect pack and Magic bullet looks. They are really useful for adding effects and getting good cc.

Also in the video sometimes your pan and crop shows the black on the left and right side at times. Try to avoid this if you can cause generally it looks ugly. Add a mask to the top and bottom of the video as well cause that usually looks appealing and adds another thing to play around with as you can sync the intensity of the bars with the song if you wish.
Example of what I mean by black bars:
The black bars would be the things at the top and bottom of the video. Although you did do this on your first video I just noticed so.

Your song choice isn't very good imo because the songs generally have a massive gap with no possible beats to sync the video to which just sort of leaves a massive proportion of the video un edited. or it may just be you're starting the video at the start of the song. Usually you wanna start the video at the drop of the song cause that has the most possible points for effects and sync.

Extremely helpful, thanks ! I can't really get a new software but im learning more about mine everyday. The black bars that showed up on the video I figured out why, and I know how to fix it. I can set the background behind the video to white, so when it sooms it will show the white and blend in so you wont see it anyway ;p. Also, I have been learning about more color-correction so maybe I can do stuff with that. Anymore Cnc?
