S&I board suggestion
Have all threads come with a poll in which people can decide whether they support the idea by voting 'I support this idea'.

Then, like governments and petitions, if a serious idea gets a certain number of 'I support' votes casted for it, the community manager needs to personally respond to it. If the suggested idea isn't possible, the community manager explains why it isn't and he instead offers some alternatives that could work.

If the manager deems the idea worthy, the idea gets added to the development queue (if it's something quick and easy perhaps it could be done right away).

This idea wouldnt replace the current way suggestions are implemented (the right mod sees the right suggestion at the right time), it would just give ideas another (more systematic) path to implementation.

I think, in addition to this being a good idea, it'd show the community that they're listened to in here.
This isn't a terrible idea at all. It gives those really high quality very productive "Supported :3" posts a proper outlet and gives some indicator of community acceptance of an idea.

Although, you already can make polls on threads can't you? It'd make sense to just have mods hold thread-makers accountable for making their own poll.
This is definitely something that sounds cool. I am sure there are a bunch of excuses why this "shouldn't happen", even though it is a good idea, but the community deserves to be more involved and it would be pretty awesome if the managers did something the community actually likes or sees for once. If anything, this would boost the s&i section's moral for normal users.
Chickster: I literally don't know why I did it.

Yay, more warnings.

I honestly like this concept. As the board moderator it's my job to make sure the posts are contributing, but contribution doesn't always mean support. It'd be nice to have a way of saying "I like this" without chancing an infraction.
I think I might be retired.

Whichever way it gets done, I think this would be a good thing to see happen.

Can some upper staff respond to this idea? If this idea isn't good then I'd like to be told why. If it is good, then I'd like to have this discussed and implemented.
I don't mind if this gets implemented, but a fairly important part of why it takes as long as it does to implement new features has to do with whether or not there's any developer time available to actually devote to implementing those features. I have some alternative ideas to polls, but they run into the same issue of requiring developer time and effort, so just having people post polls with their threads might honestly be the best and quickest option here.

It's probably not immediately possible to set a hard limit on how many supported votes would be needed to require a response, since that should probably vary based on the scale of the change (smaller changes should probably require less votes overall, larger changes would only require more up to some specified maximum) and with how many people are active in S&I (this system doesn't do us any good if absolutely every suggestion gets the required number of supported votes instantly). Even still, I'd be a fan of posting the largest number possibly required for any suggestion somewhere publicly available, with the understanding that it may occasionally change.
Squad Squad Squad lead?
The standardization of Toribash Squad roles may have gone too far!
Well I for one received an infraction for only providing my opinion on a post, and no further input, which isn't good because it can discourage others from sharing their opinions.

Please don't post with misleading information. I've edited your post to provide the accurate reason for your infractions.

this is a good idea, for me its really annoying not knowing
if my ideas are even considered for implementation, something
like this could resolve it.
And really, i can't see a reason why this is not the norm.
