We Will Live Forever
Pre-life and post-life are logically identical. In other words, being dead is exactly the same as not being born yet. This notion might make life seem meaningless for some, but to accept this reality as we know it is, in a sense, to live life like no religious person could. An atheist knows that this life is their only shot, but a religious person thinks this life is a stepping stone for something much greater. Although we might live for eternity in regards to the first law of thermodynamics, (energy cannot be created or destroyed), and the law of conservation of mass, we are most likely just a blip of consciousness between the cradle and the casket. "It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."
Carl Sagan
