Long ago there was a group of organisms known as humans. These people were despicable they fought and hurt each other all the time always saying it was because of their "Free will". this made the gods angry so they made us, a special task force to kill many humans we nicknamed them Tori's. We like many social civilizations have a ranking system and at the top we have true gods and at the bottom we have death pawns but in between its based on strength the higher ranked you are the smarter or stronger a god is. Many humans pray to us but they are outcast among their peers. This is good for us. Some of these devotees can become gods themselves if we so select them. To be strong is a show of will and we have the most desire to win and have a powerful will.
