Good start though. The eyes are aligned (horizontally) just right, and I really like the light colors. Due to the lack of detail, however, there isn't much I can say other than to implement the template and learn how to map like a boss.

I use paint.... just regular paint

Paint is for noobs. Download Gimp or Krita. Both programs are free and offer powerful tools to make dank art.
