Hey guys!

Inspired by Nightmare's ease at making weapons, I took a whack at making a sword with splines.

so here's my first detailed weapon.

Hey, not bad for ur first try. I think the sword looks a lil bit glossy. Maybe it would be better if the sword was at an angle, with the light shining down on it?

yea, it looks glossy, but I wasn't attempting good texturing, I was attempting modeling the sword.

once you get used to them they are very usefull ^^

The handle looks to big.. other than that.. its very good for a first try. The only thing I do is draw swords on paper, I don't render them :P

I'm shure you can do better :P
Take a look at some real swords first.
Fantasy swords are nice but you have to keep realisitc proportions especialy the hilt. Also the pommel shouldn't be a part of the grip itself^^

VERRY NICE is that you have not fogot the two different blade angles of the edge.
Makes the sword look more "used" and with that more real ;)
