im trying to make a set for myself and im doing the joints too and i cant find any links to a working model, anyone know one for photoshop or blender that works?

The first thing that comes to my mind is nblx's 3D texturing in which he uses Photoshop&Mudbox in pair.
Tutorial explains quite a convenient way to create textures on a doll, so you might consider using Mudbox instead of Blender.
