Well, its been out for a whille, but still, its pretty awesome.

THe new graphics look damn epic (some kind of cell shading), and the new combat system and platforming sytems are brilliant. The main thing that you will notice about the game is the Prince's inability to die.

IMO it is genius! Ubi have morphed gaming to a whole new art form. The game is pure imersion, no more random respawning or moving back in time, the story line doesnt break at all.

Dieing was just a relic of arcade games, who assumed you would stop playing or pay more. It is no longer neccessary to randomly become alive again, or wind back time to the last "check point".

They have made the entire game flow, the penaltys arent artificial, if you fail then you know that you have failed, you dont need a popup message saying "You have died, but its k, we can pretend it didnt happen".

Well i for one got damn sick of that game over screen in Warrior Within ; . ;

yeah yeah, i get all that.

but constant death and failure is a big part of video games. it just doesnt feel like a game, more like one loooong cutscene.

Seems like this yahtzee has no sense of history, he only listed the latest 4 Prince of Persia games, and is probably going to bitch about how it doesnt tie into the trillogy.

Well, for one, YES it doesn't tie into the other games like how final fantasy likes to do +1 every single game and switch storylines like mad And unlike the "Prince of Persia" I had for my gamecube, the flow in the fighting is gone, now you just shuffle back and forth and flail your arms around.
Don't forget about the lady who follows you around too l:U

There were at least one before the sands of time trillogy u know.

I think the combat really flows if ur pro, but if ur not then yo uhave opportunity to get some pace by dodging around.
I usually use rush, then ill defelct and use gauntlet to launch, then a sword attack followed by a few magic attacks, then an acrobatic and some more magic attacks. Beautiful flow!
