I was inspired by the geometry of crop circles that I made this.

REGULAR: this was the first version that I made. made the spike in the path tool, outlined it, copy&paste, rotated 45 degrees, and repeated until I got this.



Thinner and sharper version: just the original, I tried coloring it in, failed horribly, then played around with the brightness/contrast. filter raped beyond belief until I got this.



C&C wanted. Made with GIMP 2 and I was listening to The Other Side - Pendulum when I was making it.

It isn't that much more for "Filter raping"

Anti Alias, contrast/brightness, color threshold, blur, and some other enhance stuff.

For me, anti-alias does absolutely nothing. I know what it is supposed to be, A.K.A. oversampling, but it doesn't. Do I have to have a special selection or path or something for it to work?

pretty nice what tools where used?

path, then stroked with 3 or 4 brush size, rotation, fill bucket, move tool, and the rest was filters.


@FoodEater, anti alias has little effect for me too, but it makes the edges less sharp, so its just basically a miniature blur on the edges.
