Weekly riddle..
Well, to promote clan activity, I shall post a very difficult riddle every Saturday. You COULD look up the answer, but you'll win naught but shame. And if you don't look it up, you still win nothing because this only promotes clan forum activity.

I will edit this post rather than making multiple posts.

March 28 riddle-a good old one that's been around for quite a while.

Three friends walk into a hotel. The price is 10 dollars per person, so everyone pays 10 dollars and goes to their room. Once they are up there, however, the manager realizes there was a discount that day, causing the three friends to pay 5 dollars extra. So he calls on an employee to give the extra 5 dollars to the friends. The dishonest employee, however, pockets two of those dollars and gives the remaining three to the three friends.

The three guys paid 27 dollars, and the employee pocketed 2 dollars. This adds up to 29 dollars. Where is the missing dollar?

Answer- There is a flaw in the question that makes the question impossible to answer. The three guys did not pay 27 dollars. You should be adding the manager's 25 dollars + the employee's 2 dollars + the 3 dollars the guys got back.

April 4 Riddle-A logic puzzle.

You are at a crossroads. One path leads to death, the other to wealth. There is one man standing at the fork, and he either always lies or always tells the truth. How can you find out which he is as well as which route to take with ONE question?

Answer-Point to a road and ask "If I were to ask you if this path brings me wealth, would you say yes?"

April 12 riddle - I hope you like math

There are 5 red marbles, 6 yellow marbles, and 8 green marbles in a bag. What is the probability of drawing two yellow marbles in a row?

Answer- 8%. Accepted as fraction.
Alphasonik and snowkiller got this right

New change-new riddle added upon completion of the old one, or after one week, which ever comes first.

April 13- "squaring" a word.

A word square is something like...
PIE
IRK
EKE
The first horizontal line reads pie, the second irk, the third eke.
The first vertical line reads pie, the second irk, the third eke.

Here, PIE is the base word. In this word square, pie has been "squared." The horizontal lines and vertical lines must both be the same.

The objective is to "square" a word that has four or more letters. All words must be in an English dictionary. Names, places, people, events, etc. do not count
The more common the words used, the more praise-worthy the word square is. I may even send small amounts of TC if you guys can come up with good ones. The base words must be at least 5 letters long before I will consider it.

Example of a four letter word square:

CUBE
UGLY
BLUE
EYES
