Doomsday Arcade
Those of you familiar with Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw will most likely know what The Escapist Magazine is aswell. And those of you who go through other site contents than just Zero Punctuation may or may not have discovered The Escapist's second best series: Doomsday Arcade.

Doomsday Arcade is the winning series of the Escapist Film Festival, the prize of which where their own series on the site. It's increasing in popularity, and in my eyes it's only second to Zero Punctuation when it comes to entertainment value.

Doomsday Arcade revolves around two main characters - Lund and Shanks (played by themselves), two power-gamers based in Melbourne that suddenly experience the real world getting overrun by computer games. They are targeted for execution due to their "mass-fragicide" crimes and experience with games. They're being followed by the viewers as they set on out into a game/real-life combo world where they experience one classic after the other.

The series' most notable elements include professional video editing (I mean really, astonishing at times), intentional over-play, lame jokes, unpredictable humor and some creativity into the making that makes me wonder why the brains behind the series, Michael Shanks, doesn't have a role within the film industry yet.

So yeah, watch the first episode, and then watch the rest. I promise, it's worth it:

WARNING: I am not accountable for any failure to understand the humor because you're not into the inside jokes. In any case, the average gamer should be able to comprehend most of it.

Watched episode seven, still waiting for the funny part. And yes, I understood the jokes...just didn't find them even remotely funny. The only part that even got a smile out of me was that V.A.T.S. section. The rest of the series is about the same.

Hm.

I recall me gasping for air while watching episode seven.

Maybe it's just me.
It wasn't really that funny to me.. I mean I had a little chuckle at the V.A.T.S. and glitches but the rest was barely funny. I think Arby & The Chief and The Angry Video Game Nerd are way more hilarious in every way.
Death by Stereo.
YouTubed me. MySpit.
Jeez, give them a rest guys, even if you didn't enjoy the shows, you have to respect all the work that must go into them, making videos like that isn't easy.
I love the show, and hope it continues to be as good as it has so far, but if you don't like it, don't watch it, it's a pretty simple concept.
haha, I know i probably won't get an answer to this, but if someone could tell me what program is used to add the special effects, it'd much appreciated!
