Go ahead and flame, I like them. Don't really give a shit what you people think, by the way.

Here are some lesser known (better) songs from them.

If you're going to flame their music / my taste, at least have the decency to listen to a bit of these songs. Don't be too biased.

I'm using playlist.com links because they're much better quality. Just click the large play buttons on the songs to hear them. The first song file is often the best, but if they don't work, use the next one.

This is one off their newer CD's, but it has the feel of one of their older (and much better) CD's. I hate their new stuff, I really do. I enjoy their older music. This is one of my favorites though.

I like them, though, they have a bit of a groove, catchy thing going on.
Nothing specially bad to say about them, good rock.

You shouldn't initially take the position of the person who's going to get flamed by their musical tastes. ;)

i dont like them that much but theres other music id much less rather listen to.

i think "thanks for the memories" is good, their "beat it" cover wasn't too bad, and they did a cover of "start today" by gorilla biscuits. it was for the tony hawks american wasteland soundtrack. heres it is

They are a good band, but just too modern sounding for me. Start Today is a good song, though.

I'm Like a Lawyer, I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me and You) is a good song by them, also.
I have left Toribash, but will drop in occasionally on the forums and IRC. Still in Sigma.

Firstly, thanks for being upfront about your tastes. For that, I'm not going to be as blatantly rude as I would be for someone who said, say "ZOMFG Fall OUT BoY is teh SHITz!1!111on1!e!"

However, I can't base opinions on just that. In my humble opinion, they are overproduced commercial pop-punk. Now, that can be fine if you are:

A. Green Day

or

B. Not overproduced commercial pop-punk.

Whether they have some good songs that are not well known or not, they are still responsible for garbage like Dance Dance. Sorry.

That's my two cents.

I'll accept, I liked Fall Out Boy when I first heard them, but I found their music became incredibly stale incredibly quickly... But then again, they're nothing really original, nothing worth talking about, even if they're not really bad. Its just, and this is my opinion, they're not really that good either.

In three words; They're remarkably average.

yeah the reason i somewhat dislike them is because they're unoriginal.if you get past the sheer unoriginality theyre not too bad. a few of there songs really do suck that bad though

No. Green day is horrid. ws in this guitar class a few years ago when they had one of their hits. We all learned in holiday and it was so bad. I got bad marks because I hated the song and changed it around until I liked it. Anyways, green day holds a special hideous place in my heart.

I listened to most of your fall out boy song links. They weren't as bad as I expected, but I still didn't like them. The drumming was interesting though. Kinda like the mars volta(but without the other instruments backing it up in such a sweet way).

They were fantastic back in 94, but compared to most modern music, their new stuff is most certainly not bad either.
